Dorothy,
I missed an hour on Monday June 15 and all of JUNE 16 Tuesday of
our IOP group meeting because my psychiatrist changed Risperdone to nights only
1 mg and all my Carbamazepine in the morning 200 mg along with phasing off
Divalproex by taking half dose 125 mg rather than full dose 250 mg. My
Psychiatrist Dr. O. at Citadel Behavioral Health can be reached
at xxx-1145 to verify these changes which in addition to weight gain potential
(Risperdone) leave me groggy and sleeping in or over later than my cell alarm
6:30am in the morning because take my first medication on an empty stomach,
Levothyroxine. She can per my daughter Zoe prescribe medication to counteract
the sleeping in effect, but that is one more medication on top of all the
others. She wants me to work around sleeping extra NOT because of depression
but side effects. I want to reassure Jennifer I do daily a Road Map both in
Dealing With Psychosis Toolkit and the Dealing With Mood Instability
Toolkit Jess gave me for home relapse prevention. She can verify this. Since
June 4 I have been doing daily Roadmap or routine (two weeks now). My daughter
can verify this. It is called “Start Now.” My daughter also gave me a Grief
Journal. She can verify this. Please call her as I feel I have no credibility
with either of you for a detailed plan for recovery because Jennifer suggested
I go back to in-patient at GBH rather than onto third step of relying on my
independent living team, my psychiatrist Dr. O., my soon new therapist Dr.
C. IF she accepts Medicare and Blue Cross Blue Shield. She is checking
now. I do have an appointment scheduled for Monday June 22nd at 4:00 PM. I will
not go with her IF Medicare and Blue Cross Blue Shield limit visits they will
pay for reimbursement. I cannot afford fees for a PHD therapist out pocket.
Instead I will choose Eddie O. M.S., kind man who even in a phone
call shows a lot of empathy, does not accept either Medicare or Blue Cross Blue
Shield and seems better match for me with my grief plus PTSD and mood
instability. His price is $150.00 for first evaluation meeting and $85 for
sessions later which less Grief Counselor I found on my own prior to Covid 19.
Yes I was planning already a successful spring and summer before Covid 19. Also
he agrees to work with me finanancially and go to twice monthly sessions once
he evaluatesmy mood instability and processing my grief.
What is that called? PREVENTION and MANAGEMENT. If you find that
not credible I have a Historical Mental Health Binder two inches thick showing
I have not had a mental psychosis break since 1995-25 years-and prevented mood
instability requiring an in-patient stay since 2005-15 years-I count as proof
that even in Texas ranking number 37 out of 50 States last I checked-
prevention AND management do work. Jess was my first step to recovery-GBH and
IOP GBH are excellent! Jess gave me three toolkits in-patient at GBH-Dealing
With Psychosis which I finished May 22, Dealing With Mood Instability
which I will finish soon and Dealing With Grief which I will do with my out
patient counselor.
I as advocate for myself ask you and Jennifer to recommend my
release to next big step-working with my psychiatrist Dr. O. and two
sessions with either Dr. C. or Eddie O. Probably next Friday 26 is
good day to release me from IOP GBH.
As to Waterford Assisted Living and moving-My daughter is not
happy you suggest I continue living in a place that is NOT SAFE for me to live.
My daughter Zoe and Son-in-Law Bob found The Waterford Both affordable safe and
how safe it is for me to live there-two wellness checks a day, one around 8pm
and one at NOON if I do not show up for group activities plus shuttle to my Dr.
appointments, three meals day delivered to my room but soon dining room
downstairs will open in July and we are expected to come down for meals served
restaurant style, an ambassador is appointed to show me around for awhile but
then you already know I am my own ambassador, I LIVE SAFELY on the third floor
by elevator- and have no qualms my former assailant can find me and try to harm
me again-the manic psychosis was driven by he found me and was trying to harm
me for third time. My daughter explained my apartment community had opened back
up for routine Maintenance. I actually laughed and felt relieved.
