MY BIPOLAR MOTHER

I am the daughter of a bipolar mother. My experiences with my mother, family, and friends teach me everyone's reality is different and perception is the friend or the foe of the day. I am hoping my posts give insight to those who are curious and give comfort to those who see a parallel. I invite feedback and look forward to collaboration. It is my focus to spread joy, even on dark days. Smiles can be effortless or the workout of the day. Thanks for reading!

bipolar mother self-diagnose herself

I obviously cannot sleep re insomnia so here’s update on Dr Gonzales

I will call at 8:30 am for an appointment either Tue 23 Wed 24 or Thu 25

for followup to heart pains I am experiencing down my back and along my left arm. It’s not 911 but check for stent like my Dad (2 stents) and Bro (1 stent) an out patient procedure and change to more effective heart med. I will request be late afternoon from 3:30 to 4:30pm Office only open to noon on Fridays and we already have 9:15 am appointment with Dr Onadeko.

1 Heart check re may have had mild heart attack as last straw at Garland

Behavioral Health one night around meds and shower time. It was chaotic and late with meds etc cause had call 911 to come take young woman to the hospital for excessive bleeding as she was in GBH because of recent miscarriage at 5-6 months into her pregnancy and it was a little boy. She came in deeply depressed. Then all hell broke loose with Peggy an aggressive disruptive patient in for early onset dementia and threatening neighbors. She’s retired nurse, quite smart and knows she has dementia.

She “sun downs” and gets agitated later gets in evening. She disrupted group sessions so much they’d have to ask her to leave group during the day. Day shift techs and nurses managed her better than nights except one team Adrianna nurse and Tech Toy.

I wrote them a great evaluation for keeping us on schedule at night with meds and showers because of Peggy’s agitated disruptions around meds and bedtime. She would try to come in my room cause it was next to hers. I’d have to speak loudly and tell her to leave my room and go to hers. GBH rotated day and night nurse & tech teams -never same or rarely same each day or night. Peggy was one to observe I was in distress not breathing well. She asked if I had pain down my back and along my left arm. I did. She tried to tell nurse then I told the nurse who said had enough for one night with prior 911.

They are required to write report if patient asks for medical care so I asked for them to check my blood pressure again. They did. It was like 116 over 55. 55 is too low.

I have my blood pressure readings from my heart monitor cuff written down from week I looked at them from week 14-week 20. I had quite few 50s and indicative heart stress for women. People usually think typical hyper tension or high blood pressure like my Dad and Bro. I looked for weeks 1-13 but could not find them; however they should all be in memory of my heart monitor cuff and Dr Gonzales can review weeks 1-20 in it. Essentially at 72 pounds overweight and sedentary I was moving from per hypertension to hypertension like 150 over 85 Primary care can take care of you until start going into 170s over 180s so Dr Gonzales needs know about my Dad’s stents and Bro’s so she fixes it or heart doctor puts in stent,

I also need to know do or do I not take Januvia for diabetes and to schedule a colonoscopy. Medicare and BCBS will cover all. Then I have been fully checked out as I move to Waterford. I have covered all medical health bases.Sorry for all but when get to Waterford out physical therapy, out Group, able get to routine Dr appointments by shuttle etc
